In my opinion Jason's arc and progression is still best and whatever he said at the end of the game might be the main cause for why 3 has the best story in the series even if it wasn't that interesting. He see him go out of his way to support Dani at whenever they meet while also seeing his distress at the death of his mother and the remarks towards his dying father, we also know that Anton knew all along that he would die and Diego would be on his own yet it makes no sense for him to kill Diego, thus blowing everything he’s spent 13 years preparing for.Įven worse one yet is that, like Anton said now that the rebels have destroyed everything and both of Castillo’s are dead, wtf is the actual plan? As now Yara is a country which is behind the rest of the world by a good 60 years and has now lost both the only source of income it had to save itself including the leaders.įar Cry 6's ending and plot didn't disappoint me as much as 5 did in fact I enjoyed it more and absolutely liked Dani so I'll give it 7.5/10 but my faith in Ubisoft’s ability to give us games like Far Cry 3 and 4 or Splinter Cell or Wildlands is completely gone. We learn that Lobo is still alive and was supposed to have been killed by La Tigre, yet nothing comes of that, we learn from notes that Lobo's planned to take Yara for himself and betray everyone and everyone else thinks he’s dead, but nothing more happens.ĭiego is hinted as the future of Yara, someone who will unite the ideologies of Anton, Clara and find balance. Yet the game doesn’t seem to care to follow up on that and everyone is happy to leave it at the fact La Moral kills and hurts innocent people. Although the protagonist, Sheriff Whitehorse, and the other deputies seemingly escape, the rest of the game’s companions and characters are left under Joseph’s control.
Like when you hear from Lucky Mama that La Moral are reckless and the majority of her victims are collateral damage from La Moral’s reckless attacks, La Moral show no remorse or care for the innocent people they hurt. If players chose to walk away when they finally confront Joseph Seed at his chapel, a lot of the story is left unresolved. The most buffling one for me is that Dani spends the entire game wanting nothing more than the entire thing to be over so he/she can leave, yet everyone seems to accuse him/her constantly of planning to prolong the war to stay in power, yet he/she never once ever expressed anything close to that sentiment.Īll three leaders of Martines Maximas are mentally unstable, going as far as to constantly execute anyone who upset them and have mental breakdowns, but the game shrugs it off and calls it day. Well to be honest the ending disappointed me as well and felt very uninteresting as if the entire game lacked any true commitment to consequences.
